Uncle Toh's back in Vietnam....sigh~~ He touched down last Fri and went back on Tue.Anyway didnt take much pics coz we didnt go anywhere in particular la. Basically juz spent time with family and went out for lunch/dinner.



Toh's flight on Tue was at 8.05am, thus we were at the airport around 6.30am! Faintz! I then went back home to 'kun' till late afternoon before meeting Xia in town for dinner. It has been a long long time since i've taken pic of our xmas deco man......hurhur~



We then made our way to Indoor Stadium to watch KYLIEEEEE~!!!!

Btw the concert was brilliant! Got everyone on their feet...singing and lancing...lalalalala~! From the 1st song till the last. KYLIEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Was telling Uncle Toh recently that i duno how long more i can take it w/o him ard. Thou i suspect he didnt registered what i said into his fat head. My colleague was telling me the feeling is perfectly normal...is that so?? And Toh might have to extend his stay till Feb...which makes it 4 mths! Sigh.....yes thou we can meet once a mth but its just different can? And its getting more and more difficult for me...Well, guess there's nothing much i can do either ya. It's also not helping that he's not really listening and juz expecting me to be more understanding. Enuff said...time to 'kun' and hope tmr's a better day.

Had a really busy weekend.Author tour + endless author events but phewww! At 6pm today, it ALL ended....hurhur!!

Anywayss, lots to look forward to in the coming weeks or errmmm days. Top on the list is of coz Toh coming back to visit on Fri!! Kylie's concert on Tuesday and a few interesting author events in Dec, top on the list is of coz having to org HIS event!


Yesss....Subhas Anandan! For those who have no freaking idea who this man is, i really duno what to say can? Ok la, i'm not a fan or what, just really looking forward only. Hurhur...for those interested, it'll be on Sat, 6 Dec, 2-3pm @ Kinokuniya Main Store. His new book "The Best I Could" would be out in early Dec at all major bookstores. I've never publicized my previous events or authors is coz i simply refuse to,yes,refuse to! Even thou some are so-call 'mega' authors but for him....i just have to la!hurhur

Hubby Visit - HCM 23-29 Oct 08

Everyone have been asking me...so how's HCM? Had fun? Bought anything? Going back there soon? Hmmm....how shd i start? HCM wasnt exactly how i imagine it to be. Its not a bad plc, know what i mean. Maybe i shd say it's not as fantastic as BKK but better than Malaysia...not sure if that description's even right but that's just my feel. Traffic there's teeeeri-gible! Ppl there...not very honest nor friendly. Hurhur...but anyway...my objective was to visit Toh so well.....objective met~~

Took the 5.40pm flight, reached HCM at aound 7pm(local time). It a 2hrs flight + Vietnam's an hr behind us. This was the plc i spent my week at....nice apartment thou :P

Fri was boring as Toh couldnt take leave. So i took the shuttle bus to Diamond Plaza...guess what? I had KFC! hahaha..not like i want to can? Coz there's nothing nice there to eat....

After Toh's back from wk, we went to Legends Hotel for dinner (Crystal Jade)! Hurhur..i know..but that man already misses Chinese food and has been wanting to go there..so well y not?! But trust me....its very much nicer and classier than Crystal Jade Spore can?

Toh got his driver to bring us ard town, so we ventured further to District 5, where Chinatown is for dim sum. We were told that this plc's pretty famous~ Hmmm....

Gota wake soo early for breakfast?? SNORE!

But i've gota say the dim sum's really good + cheap!

We then went to check out Saigon Square...the truth is, things were not as cheap as i thought. Definitely more ex than BKK and everything die die muz bargain!!Else.....good luck man! I've gota say Toh's really an aunty when it comes to bargaining can??Kudos to you baby!

There's this mega-mart next to Toh's apartment where only the locals can go. But his colleague passed him this card that somehow allows him to go in la...things there are really cheap and are sold in bulk. This plc reminds me of Carrefour.



Yeahhh~ Time to go hm!

The apartment that Toh stays at is full of Koreans. In fact there are quite abit of Koreans in HCM. So its not difficult to find Korean restaurants in the main city. For us, we dun have to go too far coz there's one at where Toh's staying. We were lazy to go out too la...so might as well. Definitely not cheap....a meal for 2 can cost up to S$40 but that's the price to pay for being lazy...hurhur!

Toh took the day off today..yippy! Tigerair has got this 1 cent promotion, so Wanxia decided to take this opportunity to come over for a short trip. Woke up extremely early today to go pick her @ the airport *yawn* Before that, we bought breakfast..Subway..errmmm but Vietnam style! You'll see those roadside hawker selling this almost everywhere in the morning by the roadside, its 'jiam tao lor ti' with egg and some errmm duno what wrapped in...newspaper....trust me, i wasnt too keen but this man was...so i only eat the bread..and egg..hurhur~~

After picking Wanxia, we went back to the apt, dropped her luggage then we went to this plc that Toh's colleague highly recommended serving wanton mee.


Errmm..definitely not some 'ar tas' plc but it was good~





Everyone knows that Vietnam's famous for their kopi. In US they've got Starbucks and here..you've got Highland Coffee. You can find this eveeeerywhere!

Dinner Time~!! Other than Highland Coffee, the other thing that you'll see ALOOOT is PHO 24. You'll see this eveerywhere!Yes....everywhere! There can be 2 PHO 24 on the same street lor! There's one at Toh's plc too!& the price's very reasonable..abt S$3.50 per bowl.Btw PHO means noodles in Vietnamese.

Toh had to wk today, so its just me & Xia. Enuff of shopping, we've decided to take our time to chk out other plces


The very good thing abt Toh's apt is that they provide shuttle bus to a few plces in town.Its a lot of savings as its not cheap to take the local taxi lor.

Since it was our last night in HCM, we've decided to pamper our tummy and have a nice dinner at this really posh..errmm not exactly la..Vietnamese Restaurant.

Its not difficult to find a nice cafe in HCM city..every corner of the street will have a nice cafe where one can just 'lay pak' and rot.And since it was Xia & my last nite in HCM..its only right that we go to CIAO Cafe..hurhur..i know, its lame.
