Bali (19-21 Jan)

When was my last holiday with Uncle Toh? Anyway,definitely been a while. We are both not exactly the beach holiday kinda couple but as he can't spare too many days off work, Bali is good enuff + we really wana find what's the big deal about the ever famous Bali too~

I would say its just another beach destination(to us).Similiar to Phuket, Koh Samui & Krabi BUT i have to say the shopping here is so much better! Its really not all about Bintang Beer singlets, fake Ray Ban, boardshorts and batik dresses. Love those little local boutiques next to ur hotel & of course the beach, amazing (but still can't compare to the ones in Koh Samui) :p

We stayed at The Haven Hotel which is in Seminyak, apparently the more atas area in Bali (compared to Kuta).












Food wise, its not too bad since Indonesian cuisine isnt exactly that foreign to us :)

Original plan was to go to Tanah Lot to catch the sunset but due to the bad weather + slight drizzle, there was only strong wind + waves. But its a really nice place. As usual, full of Ah Tiongs.


















Last but not least, how can one come to Bali without getting a massage/spa??Cheap & sooo good!!!

I Think I Need A New House

I hate spring cleanings!

AhhHH HELP! I dun remember having so much clothes & bags (seriously!). Sigh, the agony of spring cleanings! You dun clean and end up with LOTS of rubbish in the house OR you clean (supposingly to help make space) but why do i end up having a messier wardrobe??? So much stuff but so little space!

Gosh, i believe there is only 1 solution now, a new house!!

Old School Rockz!

Had dinner recently at this new place along Thomson with Toh and his army mates. Its call 'Old School Delight' (few shops away from Liquid Kitchen) which has a really cool concept. If you are a 80s or late 70s kid, you wil know why. Oh, and i have to mention, the homemade cakes there are faaantastic!

Happy 2011

Wow, cant believe we're in 2011 already. 2010 wasn't excactly an exciting year for me. But i hope 2011 will be. I already have plans, career wise (bold move), as to B-plans, i duno yet but well who knows :)

NYE wasnt't exactly exciting coz uncle toh and i made a big boo boo, happily assuming we can escape the crowd at Marina Bay & see the fireworks from East Coast BUT neh, so wrong. Neither the less, we still had fun people watching, talking about 2011 and walking almost the entire stratch of EC park.

The best part, enjoying our 1st meal, Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice...NICE!

MERRY XMAS MAMA, PAPPY & UNCLE TOH!

Had steamboat dinner over at my mama's plc on Xmas Day. Thou it was a simple dinner but it felt great coz it was time well spent with my family :) Xmas dinner need not necessary be extravagant nor must it be spent in a restuarant with other strangers. What truly matters is the people that you spent it with isnt it? :)














MERRY XMAS DEARIES!

Its really a blessing that after so many years, we are still celebrating Xmas together. Enjoying dinner, gossiping, playing MJ and basically just hanging around.

Just wana wish my girls and their families a Merry Xmas and cheers to our many many more years of friendship to come :)

16 more days to the end of 2010?

So many things i wana do before 2010 comes to an end! HOW?

- walk down Orchard Road; taking pictures of the Xmas lightings
- go up to the Marina Bay skypark
- have a drink at 1-Altitude Bar
- chill-lex at Demsey
- morning walk at The Ridge
- KTV-ing
- 1 night stay at Studio M (i duno y i wana do this either, bleah)
- enjoy a nice dinner at a nice restaurant (no idea where thou)
- watch fire works
- go for another holiday (i want, i want!)
- meet up with my dearies
- and many many more?

SIGH. Blame it on a lazy wife and boring hubby, that's why i foresee 90% of the above being push back to 2011...or totally not happening at all, hurhur.

But seriously, only 16 more days? WOW.

Happy Birthday Pappy!

It has been a well since the whole family goes out for a nice meal. I've always wanted to bring them to Asia Grand for Dim Sum and since its Pappy's birthday, so why not ya? I have been there for dinner before but never for Dim Sum, heard so much and woooo....its really good! Especially the Peking Duck, super yummy, and there was a promotion so its only $30++. Service was excellent too, will definitely go back again :)

Anyways, Happy Birthday to my Pappy again!

买东西, 吃东西!

It has been almost 3 years since i last went to HKG. And now that i'm there again, its with my B1!It's also our 1st overseas trip together! :)

This trip was fun, lotss of shopping & eating + lotssa walking! Visiting a lot of new malls and places i din managed to 'cover' the last time i was there. Oh, and i met up wuth Mic on the 2nd day for dinner too. Really enjoyed this trip and sure hope i can do this again! bleah :p

Din managed to take much photos since its just the 2 of us plus this is supposed to be a shopping trip. Seriously, how many photos of malls can i take right? Plus...muz get my priority right, SHOPPING comes first...buahahah!!

I think we covered almost 70% of the streets + malls in Kowloon / TST & Causeway Bay / Central! No joke can? hurhur! Even had time to go to Lai Chi Kok on the last day. I'm so proud of the both of us....bleah!





















Btw...I'm soo looking forward to seeing you in Spore next year!
